Berni Ogan
Berni started riding with her sisters when she was not yet walking. She has always loved horses and is now sharing her passion with others who want to learn. She has 2 daughters, Audrey and Olivia, that show on the local POA circuit. They are hoping to show more nationally as the girls get a little older.
Before starting a family, Berni competed in 4-H, Open Shows and on the Local Paint Circuit. She also rode on a women's drill team to an Oregon State Championship. As her kids get older she hopes to revisit her passion for Paints and once again show. In the mean time she continues attending clinics, taking lessons herself and seeks to obtain more information any way possible to continue to growing her own skills.
Berni believes children should have a safe, structured beginning. Before giving lessons to the public, Berni worked at a local Residential Treatment Center for severely abused children where she was the Equestrian Program Coordinator. For 5 years she taught horsemanship and basic horse care to children with special needs. She has also been a 4-H leader.
Berni has several very gentle, well trained school horses and ponies available for lessons. Or, you are welcome to use your own horse.

Melissa Corneau
My name is Melissa Corneau and I have been involved with horses for the last 20 years. Until recently I have remained mostly private with my training, strictly helping friends and family.
I have always been the type of person who enjoys a good challenge. Over the years I have competed in many different areas of competition in the horse world. This has included Western Pleasure and Hunt Seat. In 2008 I competed at Fisher-4F-Ranch Extreme Trail Challenge where my horse and I earned Reserve Champion. I am also an active 4-H leader for the Lone Stars located at Pacific Equestrian Center and have been for the last 2 years.
I frequently audit many clinics to continue learning new tools and techniques. A few of the clinics I have attended include: John Lyons, Craig Cameron, Steve Rother to name a few. I believe you can always learn more from others to continue bettering yourself. As Tom Dorance once said, "Horsemanship is not a cut and dried science.
I am now certified Level 3 for Western and English training through CHA. I am available to begin helping people with their horses professionally and accepting new clients. CHA is a long standing nationwide program aimed at standardizing riding instruction with focus on safety. Well known trainers such as Julie Goodnight have also obtained this certification.
I am thrilled to begin helping those in need of horse education on a more professional level. To find out more about the CHA program please visit their website Contact Melissa at 541-514-2317
Other qualified trainers have been approved to train out of our barn. I would be happy to share their information with you upon request. We strive to help you meet your equine goals, big or small.
